We have just completed the expansion of the production facility and received the use permit for the new production hall. We can therefore start with the railway industry parts manufacturing, focusing on components for world-renowned manufacturers of rail vehicles.
The investment in the new production facility with an area of 3,400 square metres is worth approximately 25 million kunas.
"The new plant has allowed us to expand our production and to take on new projects in the segment of manufacturing components for the railway industry. These are rolling stock components and parts installed in trains and trams. We produce various metal parts and parts for the air conditioning and ventilation of trains. For one manufacturer, we produce roofs and side walls for trains, cable holders, secondary metal parts, supporting elements for trains, control cabinets, control panels, parts of railway vehicle bodies..." - said Ivan Parčina, the Chairman of the Board of Tromont.
On this occasion, Mr Parčina also explained that Tromont plans to hire 25 new employees by the end of the year and that most of the products are for export, mainly to Germany and Switzerland.
While a smaller part is produced for the Croatian company Končar, the products are mainly intended for Stadler, Siemens, Bombardier Transportation and for example Knorr-Bremse, one of the largest suppliers for manufacturers of trains and locomotives.
